Named for Jacques Collin de Plancy. Author, occultist, and demonologist.
De Plancy wrote extensively, but most notably, two different books on categorizing demons and giving information on them, Dictionaire Infernal and Dictionaire Occultes et des Idees Superstitieuses. Dictionaire Infernal eventually became published with accompanying pictures of the demons it described, as well as information about ritualistic summoning, the hierarchy of demons, and folklore surrounding them.
